In '95, on the cover of Get Low Playaz 'What We Known Fo' comp there was an advertisement for a Kansas City rap comp titled 'The North Pole' feat. Rich The Factor, whose official debut 'Gettin A Grip' had been released by JT The Bigga Figga & GLP on their infamous Get Low Recordz label in the SF Bay just earlier that year. Sadly, even after being renamed 'Pole Position Coalition' and advertised once again the following year on a poster (see inside of j-card) and in text inside a couple tape & cd liner notes during '96-'97, this compilation never saw the light of day.
Here on this very limited cassette-only release, L-Wood has compiled rare tracks from all the artists in Young Rich's North Pole KC crew, including legendary street mentor Swell L, from that mid-90's period and created what could have been that official 'North Pole' comp that should have dropped on Get Low / Major Factor in '95!
